about

This album is a collection of songs we wrote while failing miserably at being a street punk band in Ontario.

We figured the only thing we could count on in our lives was each other - and at the start of each month it was time to fork over the skrill

Track Name: Humble Beginnings (Intro)
STAY GO STAY GO STAY GO
Track Name: These Days
These days, it's hard to get up
find the change for the bus put my best face forward
And I find my favourite place at work,
in my head, in my head
Yeah nothing's changing
I wear the same thing every day,
No-one noticed when I didn't come in, I walked away with a smile on my face I'm thinking

We've got no money, but we're not lonely
the kitchen's empty, so we'll go hungry
but I had every, thing I needed

It's getting hard, these days
Living tight, these days
I'm getting off, at ten, you won't be waiting there

I'm getting headaches from the lights,
under my desk I think it's alright
I squint to see the text on the screen
the letters fall off and I'm blamed for them missing
We are, We are, in such a hurry to reach middle age
And they say you should know, you SHOULD know,
this will come back to haunt you later

We've got no money, but we're not lonely
The kids are ugly, so they'll go hungry
And I had everything I need,

It's getting hard, these days
Living tight, these days
Getting off, at ten, you won't be waiting there
No, you're never waiting there

Getting hard these days, Living tight these days
Getting off, at ten, you're never waiting there

It's getting by, these days
We're getting right, these days
Getting off at ten, you're never waiting there

Thinking I'm taking right off
Thinking we're already packed
Thinking we're taking right off
Thinking we're already packed

Taking off, Let's take off together
And sing this off together
Let's take this off together
and sing this one forever
Track Name: So this is responsibility
Where did you come from?
What did I walk away from?
You make broken promises, and they're waiting for you alone
Well it's not like this was planned so we tried to forget
We try try try try try try tried to forget
You said, we couldn't make it on our own

Satisfied with the wage
Nevermind the bills to pay
We're not the best examples yet
Yeah, all our things, all our things, are for sale
All I know, is we'll be doing this again.

What did I ignore?
What can we hide from showing
Something we did together,
Something we didn't know
Well it's not like this was planned so we try to forget
You know sometimes life ain't fair but we shouldn't forget
You said, you said, you said, we're not

Satisfied with the wage
Nevermind the bills to pay
We're not the best examples yet
Yeah, all our things, all our things, are for sale
All I know, is we'll be doing this again.
Track Name: That Street
So we wait,
and it's 9:45 at the station
we talked about it
he's still coming, she's coming down
How long it's been
It feels like we were kids
It feels like we were home
It feels like we turned out alright

Back then our world turned upside down
But I'm still waiting on, that street, where we made our lives
You know the things we said weren't wrong
We never felt we belonged
Summers can't get too long
Walking downtown in the rain

our hair has changed again
our faces they look smart
I gave you that shirt
you gave me this scar
If it's only for a week
If it's only for a year
you know school was why I had to leave

Back then our world turned upside down
But I'm still waiting on, that street, where we made our lives
You know the things we said weren't wrong
We never felt we belonged
Summers can't get too long
Walking downtown in the rain

How long we,
We waited,
On dog eared letters in the mail,
How long we,
Remember, each July sun each time we carried on

Still waiting on that street
Still waiting on that road
Still waiting that street

I see the lights, I'm heading home
I see the lights I see the lights I'm heading home
I see the lights I see the lights I'm heading home
I'm going home
Track Name: My friends carry me home
Gotta get a grip on it you know my social fits, I'm trying
And I didn't want to leave my room cause you're cool you're righteous
Your friends think I suck cause I cut my own hair
doot do doot do

Now what am I going to do I'm tripping over you I know, I know
I'm like that. Opening my mouth you know that I'm, fucking Wasted
So chill at the bar, dance at the club
you know you know you're like that.
Well I'm down the road, playing the Shadow. You're useless

You're way up here, You're way up here, You're way up here (indication of height with hand)

Nevermind what you say, it's always what you do
When we're alone it's okay, when we're out I can tell that I embarrass you
Your friends think I suck cause I still goto shows
I'm still shaking

So say what you want, I've got what I need
Behind my back you're down on your knees
I'm not sorry

You're way up here, You're way up here, You're way up here (train sounds)

And I don't really care
My friends carry me home
Track Name: Last Words
Torn labels of bottles you can't take home
Half filled your hands are full
tell me what it was like he said
" hey, your age I remember it kindly like it's yesterday.
Hell it could be today. Thirty years, we had shit for pay and,
While you don't think about it, you learn a few things."

Then you're left with nothing
and there's no-one to blame
Everyone has so little
Everyone, makes mistakes
Wasted breath wasted time, splitting hairs splitting lives
I've got your things, have you got mine

It's not serenity, it's just pictures of our lives
the grass always greener on the other side
the sun never hotter, the bars stayed open just a little bit longer,
"So, so you've got the time. Make it last make it well, I wish the best besides
If I was there from the start,
You wouldn't have been so smart"

Then you're left with nothing
and there's no-one to blame
Everyone has so little
Everyone, makes mistakes
Wasted breath wasted time, splitting hairs splitting lives
I've got your things, have you got mine

I've got scars you're meant to see
When this life runs over me
And your eyes they don't define,
Define my family

I could be better I make mistakes
should know by now I'm twenty three
how to be, what to say
when we're all assholes

We're all assholes
How to be, How to be,
Proud of me,
Proud of me,
When we're all at fault
Track Name: Cigarette Burns
pick it up angel and don't let them know
don't let them see you suffer
you can be hidden, just put up a wall
you can be hidden, just put up with hell
the babysitter is set channel 3
a Disney movie, lets you tune up free
you think its okay, if you don't let them know
you think it's okay,
when there's stains on the couch
they've got nothing to eat
you've got bruises on your arms
they have cigarette burns
the teachers wonder where
the parents are in all of this
what it takes is for one of them,
one of them to call social services
and take your kids away
take your kids away
I don't want to just
blame her Hell she was 6 months
pregnant when he left, left her
working two jobs the unemployment
rate, the poverty line your money
for groceries paid all his
fines telling them both it's
better this time but there's
needles on the stove and you said
you were discreet
police drive up
on your lawn case worker will
help you read and pick the
clothes to pack and you'll never
get them back broken mother with
two brats crying as they take
them away what a fucking
mess I know, I know It's
harder when it's you
Track Name: Hey Blondie, I'm dreaming
Please touch my face again,
I had that dream again
Where things turn out alright, then I fall
I don't need to take the pills
Getting up my strength to feel
Salt on my lips kick the chair
Then I fall

And I had things to live for
I had so many things so many things
When I had you

Who would show up to grieve,
Anyone say they loved me?
Who would I never have a chance to say goodbye to
You said anything I need
Right now just room to breathe
And the letter on the desk
Forever speaks your name

And I had things to live for
I had so many things so many things
When I had you

I never looked so high out this window
Thinking man that is some blue sky
My eyes are clouding up
Say wait, I think I see an angel
But then I don't. You know I never will
Never thought of the people I left
The friends that I miss,
Never thought I'd go through with it
The people I left
The friends that I miss,
Never thought I'd, ever change my mind

Please touch my face again,
I had that dream again
Where things turn out alright, then I fall
Where things turn out alright
Things turn out alright
Track Name: I'm moving to BC
You need a change of pace of life direction and you think that
Moving out west will make you right so hitchhike to add effect
Hey now, it's not so bad, we've seen a lot together
And yeah we all get that you're just sorting things out
You need some space to roam a new life, your own
You think this town is slow the people weak the grass is old
Hey now, it's not so bad, we've done a lot together
Hell yeah, we all get down but, will Mountains really fix that?

Words you write describe you're doing great
Safe to assume, everything's the same
And years from now you'll say you wished you said goodbye
And years from now we're starting over we've got different lives
Each time you wake up the room is made up with the junk you bought
to replace what you left with us, for a second you thought
Is this real or is everything fucked?

We can cover these old walls but the shoulders to cry on
won't be there for you back home after you're gone

We've got fading memories. I can't take this man I'm hoping you're alright

People ask what you've been up to like we should know
Struggle for some excuse like we don't really talk, like we kind of
lost touch, like you don't write, when we ask you
Well we heard you're coming back will you stop in at the new place?
I'll say I wished you said goodbye, we're starting over
We're starting over

We've got fading memories. I can't take this man I'm hoping you're alright.
I'm alright
Track Name: Revelations
I can feel your pain. Do you know. Do you suffer?
And you call out my name in the dark I can hear you
Fires burn on the east side 911 where's the silence
and up in flames it burns. It feels like we're already
dead. It feels like we're already dead. Open your eyes.
Open your eyes, open your eyes. It seems like we're
already dead. It feels like we're already dead.

This is not my life. This is not my life. I will die,
with my eyes open With my eyes open. In your arms.

Pestilence. War. Famine and Death. Good book was right on
time - sin receives it's divine right. Your gods and your
saints never came when the man at the switch turned the
end of days. I've seen the valley of the shadow of death
I've seen the fall of man.
And it seems like we're already dead. It feels like we're
already dead. Open your eyes. It feels like we're already
dead.

This is not my life. This is not my life. I will die,
with my eyes open With my eyes open. In your arms.

And I wanted to say that when I die my eyes are open
And I wanted to say, that you won't try to find me
Hell follows me. Hell follows me. Hell follows me.
My eyes are open.

We're alone. We're Alone. You. You and me.

I never looked to the sky above
I never asked for help from god
I know my actions are my own
And when I die I'll be alone
What are you afraid of
What are you waiting for
You need revelations?
I'm here.
I'm here.
Track Name: Ready or not
Seventeen and you think she's playing
She's cutting her wrists at school
Thinking of you now son, and you know it
Nothing ventured nothing gained
Aren't people all the same
Crying tears, misery, promises
Never meant to keep

Where do you go when you can't see yourself?
Where do you go when you can't feel anyone
Everything I know, everything in my heart
(what's in my heart)
Everything I've got is in my heart

Hiding behind a shroud of youth
The law can't handle teen abuse
You just let us do do our job
No vigilante justice
I wish I had the guts
To kill him for all the things he's done
I'm stuck in my room punching walls
and saying I'm sorry

Where do you go when you can't see yourself?
Where do you go when you can't feel anyone
Everything I know, everything in my heart
(what's in my heart)
Everything I've got is in my heart

I wanted to help, but life isn't fair
The red in your eyes, the blue in your hair
But then it happened again it happened
to someone else.
Jessica, Jessica (*no significance to name)
We're, still so young
Track Name: All I need
In the face of change, the face of change
we will find, find a reason
To exist, to feel, to live
After singularity gives us a reason to grow
the human condition is valuable
It's all good

Stop listen remain unchanged

Commit to change commit to change
or we'll fight, fight a reason
To exist, to feel, to live
understand the human spirit
Give us something to know
The modern age, nothing's wrong
It's alright

A reason to live. A reason to live
Existence is all I need
Track Name: Empty Frames
Another sign hangs on a gate holding a name like Forest Creek
Giving concrete a face. Where people think they've found their Dreams
Rip up, old growth forests for the roads, then plant again all in a row
Wonder why the kids who live here are on drugs

All these houses, containers to frame us
On the outside, they all look the same so
Look around you, something's gotta change

Take a tip and hear what I say. Take a trip down Suffolk way
Keep a line but if you turn your head you'll see community not Development
Rip up, historic landmarks for the roads then build again, all in a row
And wonder why the kids who live here are messed up

All these houses, containers to frame us
On the outside, they all look the same so
Look around you, something's gotta change

Making sure, you feel hopeless
Making sure, you feel broken
Making sure, you're no trouble
Making sure, you don't speak out
On the inside, no-one can paint us beige.

I believe, in fifty years we'll look back on it
and we'll just tear down what we had done
To save some money but at what cost?
