My friends carry me home

from This Month's Rent by The Decay

/

about

Tyler gets in a fight at Sun Suns and goes to his on-the-rocks girlfriend's place only to find she had gone out.
Her room-mates clean up his cuts, and try to get him out of the house quickly for some reason... minutes later, she returns home with another guy.
He quickly spirals out of control and realizes the only thing he can trust is punk rock.

(a couple years, and a mended friendship with that girlfriend later.. she describes the lyrics to this song as "The meanest thing anyone has done to me". I regret it, but I don't want to write new lyrics)

lyrics

Gotta get a grip on it you know my social fits, I'm trying
And I didn't want to leave my room cause you're cool you're righteous
Your friends think I suck cause I cut my own hair
doot do doot do

Now what am I going to do I'm tripping over you I know, I know
I'm like that. Opening my mouth you know that I'm, fucking Wasted
So chill at the bar, dance at the club
you know you know you're like that.
Well I'm down the road, playing the Shadow. You're useless

You're way up here, You're way up here, You're way up here (indication of height with hand)

Nevermind what you say, it's always what you do
When we're alone it's okay, when we're out I can tell that I embarrass you
Your friends think I suck cause I still goto shows
I'm still shaking

So say what you want, I've got what I need
Behind my back you're down on your knees
I'm not sorry

You're way up here, You're way up here, You're way up here (train sounds)

And I don't really care
My friends carry me home
